First production batch will be shipped on December 10th, according to pre-order list. Thanks!

Alen Geere Flying Monkey is an optical envelope-controlled filter that we produce by inspiration from vintage mu-tron sound.

It translates the envelope or volume profile of every musical passage into an easily-controlled, vowel-like sound, as you play.

This type effects were used by many top musicians during the ’70s, including Stevie Wonder, Larry Coryell, George Duke, George Benson, Lee Ritenour, Frank Zappa, Bootsy Collins, Jerry Garcia, Andy Summers, and many others.

You can use Alen Geere Flying Monkey to create a variety of synthesizer sounds with most electrified instruments: guitar, bass, keyboards, drums, flute, saxophone, brasses. The sharper your attack and the more percussive your instrument, the wilder your sound will be.

With low pass, band pass, and high pass filter options, which can be triggered from low to high or vice versa, Flying Monkey can be used for all types of instruments of varying frequency ranges and deliver the appropriate effect accordingly. The boosted midrange and the pleasant breakup the gain knob allows provides some serious cut and presence in the mix.

This is the bass version of the pedal that perfect for funky bass sounds. Alen Geere Flying Monkey also functions as an automatic wah pedal in both guitar and bass versions.

Whatever instrument you choose to throw at the Flying Monkey, it will take and produce a glorious array of tones.

We specially design and use our unique LED-LDR couple opto-isolators. They are so sensitive and can be controlled by “sense” knob. Envelope follower of the Flying Monkey connected to voltage controlled filters by this optical device. We also used a chip for creating internal dual supply instead of a single supply so we could have a wide dynamic range.

“Sweep Range” switch selects the frequency range covered by the filter envelope.
“Pass Filter” switch selects the type of filter: Lowpass, Bandpass or Highpass.
“Sense” knob controls the sensitivity of the optical device.
“Effect” knob controls the effect amount.
“Freq” knob sets the cut-off frequency of the selected sweep range. It can acts as a notch filter and gives wah effect when turned quickly. Funny to play
“Gain” knob adjusts the input gain and the filter’s sensitivity to the signal of your instrument.

Alen Geere Flying Monkey has completely true-bypass switching. Left Led lights when the pedal engaged. Right led works in sequence with LDR device. So, you can watch and feel the effect, control the pedal easily.
